Silverado
Ida is considered to be the best Production Designer in Hollywood when it comes to building American Western film sets. Her sets have been used in dozens of films, not just hers and a few are still being used today, including a well-known one outside of Santa Fe, NM.
The set for Silverado (1985) was built for this movie, and has since been used in such movies as Young Guns (1988), Wyatt Earp (1994) (also starring Kevin Costner), Last Man Standing (1996), Lonesome Dove (1989), All the Pretty Horses (2000), and Wild Wild West (1999) (also starring Kevin Kline).
Ida loved Santa Fe, New Mexico so much that she chose it as her retirement home after 42 years in the film industry.
